Founder’s Story
Thang Duong — Engineer. Builder.
Thang Duong graduated from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 2009 with a B.S. in Civil Engineering. His experience in industrial engineering included — four years as a Project Engineer at Maritime International designing fender panel systems for commercial marine docking facilities, followed by a year as a Design Engineer at Superior Derrick Services working on steel structures and structural upgrades. He earned his NACE Coating Inspector certification (CIP No. 34724) along the way.
In 2019, Thang founded Amour Construction LLC — not to chase volume, but to bring that same engineering rigor to a residential and commercial market where it was often missing.
Amour holds both the Louisiana Residential Builder license (#887572) and the Louisiana General Contractor license (#72507). Our work brings residential and commercial construction experience to each project.
Amour builds custom homes and commercial spaces across Acadiana. Thang’s earlier design and development experience includes Palace Nail Lounge in 2016 and iNail Supply Phase I in 2017. The flagship: UNIQ Nail Lounge — an 8,740 sqft commercial build where Thang led Development, Design, and General Contracting under a single operator.
That vertically integrated model — engineer, designer, and contractor under one roof — is the heart of how Amour delivers. One phone call. One accountability. One signature on the warranty.
